Another week, another Berlin FASHION WEEK!

Whereas people in Pankow-Prenzlauer Berg argue wether to leave their apartments because the Berlin senate decided to re-open a highschool next to their house that they closed a few years ago, and now they need space for teachers’ offices etc. – or burglars try to steal things from houses in the area of Charlottenburg – “the others”, don’t really seem to care: fashionistas and visitors of Berlin are totally focused on the FASHION fever.

In other words, this means, slick, too slick looking guys talking about “Oh, I flew in from New York, too – yesterday. Soooo jetlaggged, duh!” at your local Thai cuisine bistro. Skinny-to-the-bone anorexic girls trying to catch some spotlight, it is the only part of the year they do not get weird looks for looking sick. All those fashion editors (been there, done that- uhm…) wearing the utmost horrible sets of yellow-red-dotted pants to grey used-look sweaters, high heels and weird sunglasses and accessoires – because they want to look “different” (did not do that, though).

All in all, fashionweek is mostly a pain in the buttocks if you live in central Berlin, where practically everything is happening.

We listen to the new mix of CRIS URBAN and try to focus on the rather good stuff going on throughout fashion week:

Starting today, the Official Berlin Bread & Butter Fashionweek Opening Party | Café am Neuen See | w/ K_chico (live), is only accessible with invitation only.

An alternative would be Fashionweek Opening by Projektgallery | .HBC | Highlight: Installation & Exhibition by Oblast, they introduced themselves to the twenFM audience last weekend, when they paid Couleur (weplaysex) a visit during his set.
