5 Years of UNER
The rise of Spanish talent UNER has been quite remarkable in the last five years. He has gone from a respected underground DJ and producer into an international star that releases on only the biggest labels around, from Cadenza to Cocoon, Visionquest to Cecille, Terminal M to Diynamic.
As well as his fresh tech house sounds and the immense recent full length album on Diynamic, UNER is a revered DJ who headlines all the major festivals around the world and who has also hosted his own slots on Boiler Room, BE-AT.TV and Beatport Live – essentially, then, he is a true modern king pin of the house scene.
The requests keep on coming though, because UNER has also been signed up to be a product tester for Native Instruments as he uses all their latest gear in magic ways, and he has also found time to do educational masterclasses around the world and work for a number of charity causes such as Red Cross and UNICEF, but that’s not all, because UNER has also committed to ride 400km in four days from London to Amsterdam with Resident Advisor all in the name of charity.
Last year UNER who a host of awards from Best Newcomer at the DJ Awards and 3 Vicious Music Awards (artist of the year, best producer, best tech house DJ) and now he is nominated once again in 2014 as the best tech house DJ at the 2014 DJ Awards.
Also this year, UNER has done some very special showcases with his friend TECHNASIA at places like WMC, Reverse and Ushuaia) and is currently working on another big and exciting project with the man.
Although UNER has played 35 gigs in three months and is fully booked for the future – even breaking out of the underground and getting booked at more mainstream and pop festivals, such is his wide appeal nowadays, he still finds time to put his musical skill and training to good use in the studio and keeps conjuring up the tasty tech house goods.
At the heart of all this has been UNER’s performances in Ibiza which have got everybody talking. In the club he is a fierce DJ with a rare bag of music that really gets people and keeps them dancing. It is for that reason that he is basically fully booked and has once again been nominated for an award this season. He still has more great sets to come though, at places like Pacha Festival, the Ants Closing and Dancefair in Ibiza and the Ushuaia closing party in October.
So, all hail King UNER – king of tech house, king of Ibiza DJ sets and festivals everywhere. It might have taken five years, but now he really is on to top of the world with a large army of fans following him everywhere he goes.
HIGHLIGHTS: LAST YEAR (2013)
– UNER won the Newcomer Award @ DJ Awards (last September) and 3 Vicious Music Awards last December (artist of the year, best producer, best dj tech-house).
– From Feb we announced the album tour with 35 gigs in 3 months and he is fully booked now.
– UNER is nominated as Best Tech House DJ this year @ DJ Awards 2014
– Preparing a big project with his friend TECHNASIA (This year they just played some spontaneous shows at WMC, main festivals and events as Reverse Ibiza, Dreambeach festival, Ushuaia ,Blue Marlin)
– UNER is making the RA charity race from London to Amsterdam (400 km in 4 days) and participating in many charity projects for Red Cross, Peace One Day…
