Diynamic Records has been one of Germany’s most acknowledged labels up to this day, and I must say, i.e. with ADRIATIQUE and DAVID AUGUST, head honcho SOLOMUN has a bunch of talents gathered under his roof. I just got this promo inbox, and since I saw NTFO on some Diynamc Night advertising last month, I had a listen:

Label. DIYNAMIC Records
Artist. NTFO & Karmon
Title. Composit EP (Diynamic069)
Format.
Cat.Number. Diynamic069
Release Date. 02.04.2014
Distribution.
Domain. https://soundcloud.com/diynamic-music/sets/diy_069-ntfo-karmon-composit

“For their next release, the Diynamic label turns to a collaborative partnership that has had plenty of success before now, namely NTFO & Karmon. Previously their ‘Nobody Else’ tune for the label was a huge release and here they team up for a pair of brand new singles that are sure to soundtrack dancefloors for many months to come. The EP is the result of 5 days in the studio together and the resulting music is fresh, deep and arresting.”

Opinion: It is certainly not the best release of NTFO or Karmon, and definitely not the best of Diynamic music, but it will be a good addition to you deep house music collection, and maybe even one of your hidden gems for a 4am round of deep house sounds.

Artis info:

NTFO

Having missed the “Nobody Else” release, I did not get involved in all the hype they stirred up. For me, they were unknown artists, so let’s have a look at the guys:

“The two guys born in Jimbolia are part of the new guard of electronic music in Romania. In a short time they managed to enter as key players in the industry for names like: Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Loco Dice or Luciano and have fulfilled their dream, releasing the first album on vinyl, in January 2010. The autumn of 2011 also comes with other great productions and remixes and at the end of September, they sign to Diynamic a new track‚ “Feelings”. Febuary 2012 brings a new collaboration with H.O.S.H. and Malonda for Diynamic055 and push them a lot in front. With its 58th announcement, Diynamic presents a three track Various Artists EP which will surely make every club and Open Air go insane. „Nobody Else“ is a collaboration between Netherlands export Karmon and NTFO and already got huge attention by the club scene. With its bouncy baseline and its driving hats highlighted by spherically playful notes Nobody Else immediately casts a spell over you.”

For your information: JIMBOLIA is a city in Romania that has appox. 12.000 inhabitants, to the Germans also known as “Hatzfeld”. It is about 600km from Bukarest, in the Western part of Romania. Nice to hear from a part of a world I cannot recall knowing any artist of in the edm field around me.

To get to know them, I just listened to their Diynamic radioshow, and the sounds were coloured with a taste of pop-synth sounds and disco-esque flavours, yet very deep. For my taste a bit too deep, too much of similar sounds in one set, but if you like their style, you might like the show very much:

KARMON

The track of this lad I missed when I saw Solomun playing several times in 2012, but apparently, Solomun digged up another talent. Karmon is from the Netherlands and in his deep sets, it occurs to me the playful lightness (Netherland style) is also shining through, so that the sets never get boring.

“Drumming on all kinds of household equipment and jamming on the guitar until his fingers hurt, it was pretty clear that a path into music was set. When and how was not yet clear at that time.
It was in 2003 that Karmon came into contact with electronic music through his older brother. At that time experimenting with different styles and setups with mild success it wasn’t until early 2012 when the artist Karmon was born. Having experienced various flows of electronic music he now set out to develop his own style and with great success.
In a matter of months top chart productions were coming out of the Karmon studio. Starting out with his debut release Turning Point on Sintope digitaland then followed up with Wowshit on Diynamic.
All this talent surely could not go by unnoticed? In the summer of 2012 Solomun had already been playing Karmon’s tracks and soon after asked him to join their agency (DIY).
The future looks bright for young Karmon. His schedule, inspiration and motivation is growing and he is set out to play all over the globe.”
