About two years ago, in 2012, Madonna stirred up the media with her allegedly copied song “Give me all your luvin’ feat. M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj”, which showed a lot of similarities to Brazilian musician Joao Brasil featuring Lovefoxxx.
This weekend, browsing random music on the internet, I bumped into this mix:
The first track called “De Nacht” by De Hofnar (Jeroen Maas from Tilburg, Netherlands) caught my attention immediately:
Listen carefully to this 2013 uploaded track by De Hofnar (especially from 2:33): you will hear a lot of familiar tunes, rhythms, breaks, and melodic built-ups like Epik High’s “One” (from 0:18, piano version by Keudae):
This is the original track “ONE” by the Korean trio Epik High (with Tablo) feat. Jisun of the band Loveholic, released around 2008:

According to the internet, De Hofnar likes to make bootlegs as well, so it would not surprise me, if he just “forgot” to tell he got his “inspirations” for “De Nacht” from Epik High’s “One”.
In my opinion, the whole track of De Hofnar is just an edit/remake of “One”, and should be marked as such. Maybe the opinions on this observation will differ; I will be happy to hear the voices of other musicians and music lovers on these two tracks as well.
