So, Lollapallooza Festival was held in Berlin this September, and needless to say, it was a “success” – with loads of positive feedback from the festival guests. It was anticipated, as Lollapalooza has already made a name and Beliners were more than excited to welcome that festival on Berlin grounds.
About Berlin, Lollapalooza twittered pictures like this:
Things are getting wild with Major Lazer at #LollaBerlin! Be sure to follow @LollapaloozaDe for more highlights. pic.twitter.com/EUKKBsLPbG

BUT Lollapalooza omitted the huge fact Berliners were facing AFTER the festival closed:
Not cool @lollapalooza #Berlin – Treptower Park grass completely destroyed and dead, cigarettes/litter everywhere. pic.twitter.com/76QOLxoLGV

Treptower Park on Saturday, September 17 showed a completely destroyed field! Cigarette butts EVERYWHERE and the grass was just… dead. (The picture above is showing the dead field, there were scraps of paper and cigarette butts all over the park.)
UPDATE 20. Sept. 2016: Lollapalooza.de just posted an “Aftermovie” of the festival, and despite Blogs blogging about it, no official statement or answer on twitter regarding the mess they left:
As someone previously having enjoyed Treptower Park very much, seeing the destroyed park ground and the litter afterwards was a huge disappointment.
It’s 2016, folks.
Even though your programme might be really nice and you surely must have spent a lot of time organizing an event, PLEASE think a little bit of the environment and just take care of the waste that you and your guests created.
