The guys from Get Wavey (Finckobot interview on stylistberlin here) were the first ones to introduce JTRP to me, the DJ team that Jorge Takei belongs to. We had good talks without ever meeting and shared the passion for Asylum afterhour live gigs via the internet. Ever since, I kept an eye on the duo and am happy to see them moving forward day by day.

The Jorge Takei latest remix of Crek’s “My dear” was such a delight it was featured on stylistberlin for a couple of weeks on the main page – and now he is back with his own EP on Kolorit!

The original mix: Jorge Takei created a track that is light in style and has a timeless melody, that can be compared to Martin Dawson’s “Think about it” and Homework’s tracks. You can sense the finely built structure of the track> it has a proper intro and a proper ending, so to say. Crek’s remix: You definitely do hear some beats and melodies resembling (very strongly) Dikso’s latest release “Disco Social Club – You Got To Stay” here. Yes, Crek made “The Lyon” more of a disco house track, which is a nice alternative to the original mix. Not so original, but a nice combination of tunes. Crek’s releases: http://soundcloud.com/crek

Atapy remix: this Romanian guy pitched the song a bit down and put the vocal sampling to the front line. He def added his own touch to this version, curious for more releases. This mix is for slower house beat lovers. Check out as well: http://soundcloud.com/atapy
