Fashion labels in Berlin tend to offer expensive and sometimes ugly pieces of clothing. People who are in love with Berlin gladly pay for “the cool design” or the “extravagant” pieces. On the other hand, “Zugezogene(ppl who come from other cities and countries and moved to Berlin)” often mock the crazy price tags on a “rag”. It´s just common to pay hundreds of EURs, just because the thing is in neon colours or coming from the past (50´s-90´s). To find something that is worth the money is a hard task in Berlin.
Of all the “made in Berlin fashion” labels, I came upon Hypnosis by chance. Even though I visited the CUBE Store at Dom Aquaree (I think it was during Berlin Fashionweek) last year, I never made it to claim one of the pieces mine.
This year, I manged to order a wonderful dress/top from the Hypnosis Online Store at dawanda. My first buy was Librium:

It was delivered in a wonderful Hypnosis bag. The quality and the design convinced me to visit the shop. And ever since, I have been a huge fan of that label. Anecdote: one of my friends got that shirt as a birthday present, and her boyfriend loved it almost more than she did ;)
Five reasons why I say Hypnosis is one of my favourites:
1. Design: it is chic and urban, elegant and sexy, just as you want to wear it.
2. Wearing: either you can wear it upside down, or inside out, or longer or shorter
– every piece can be worn in a lot of different ways, which makes one piece to a lot of pieces.
Best of all: they are comfy!
3. Quality: a lot is 100% cotton, very neat seams, no shrinking after washing properly, no fading of colours.
4. Genuine collections: every collection offers so many different styles, no 0815!
5. Worth: every piece is worth the actual price.
Price range: from 10EUR(sale items-don’t miss!) to 300-somethingEUR(still worth it!).

* Hypnosis has started its Crazy Sale Week at the shop. Everything is max. 49EUR! There are lots of gems at the headquarters at Holteistr.12, 10245 Berlin, which are not (yet) on their website or online shop, so it it really, really worth a visit!
Hypnosis has already released it’s fw2010 collection a while ago, and I guess you can get the pieces after the Crazy Sale again. I for myself was whining about needing a new black coat this winter on the way to the shop, and unexpectedly, I “got” this baby here today at the opening sale, which was not included in the fantastic new shawl and necklace collection and the on sale products from the summer collection:
