My friend Stefano Ritteri, who likes mcbess’ artwork and also the mcbess collection from the Dudes Factory, introduced me to the label and I was so fond of the items that I, too, spread the world and bought some stuff at their shop as well (wore it on one of my tv shows). Meanwhile, my friends from the music industry in Berlin, London and Vienna have some of the items of the Dudes Factory now… ;)
As fashion week is approaching, the Dudes have prepared a really special event:
The Dudes x mcbess 2013 BIG SUMMER FEST
The Dudes in their unrelenting effort to bring the fresh ideas to Berlin‘s creative scene have been working with the internationally renowned French artist Matthew Bessudo aka mcbess for several years.
The 4th exhibition in this ongoing collaboration sees a deeply humorous exploration of nautical themes through a limitless list of limited edition ‘sex dolls’, a collection of customized guitars, drum kit, hand-painted replica rowboat, giant custom made cuckoo clock, customized hand painted Vespa, handmade silk scarves, cast-iron bottle openers, stainless steel drinking flasks with leather case and a brand new collection of prints and custom apparel including a limited edition jacket.
Never content to simply bring you a mind-blowing visual feast The Dudes are also providing a sumptuous culinary experience with whole pigs on the spit, a BBQ of the finest cuts of meat which will all be washed down with an ocean of home brewed liquor, fine wines and beer.
For your aural pleasure McBess’ band the Dead Pirates will play live sets and local DJ’s will keep the beats playing until the last drop.
Tattoo’s will etched into the skin of willing victims and strange carnival games will keep the crowd entertained.
So be amongst the lucky few to witness this unparalleled extravaganza of art, music, food and drinks one night only at the Mind Pirates on Friday the 28th of June.

Wieder einmal vereinen The Dudes & der berüchtigte Mcbess ihre Kräfte in diesem 4. Teil in einer Reihe von Ausstellungen epischen Ausmaßes!
DEAD AHEAD wird das bisher größte Event: ein Spektakel aus Kunst, Musik sowie Speis und Trank.
Gefeiert wird am 28. Juni bei Mindpirates am Schlesischen Tor.
Wir bieten euch hiermit eine Gelegenheit Mcbess kennenzulernen und als Erste ein Auge auf die neuesten Arbeiten aus der Kollaboration zwischen The Dudes & Mcbess zu werfen.
Die Kollektion bedient sich thematisch der Welt der Freibeuter und Seefahrt. Sie zeigt zeigt ein Sammelsurium bestehend aus Skulpturen, opulent handbemalten Booten, Bikes, customized Gitarren und Drums, einer überdimensionalen Kuckucksuhr, Kunstdrucken, Live-Painting, Tattoos und Mode.
Musikalischer Höhepunkt des Abends wird ein Konzert von Mcbess’ very own Band, The Dead Pirates. Zusätzlich werden DJs bis tief in die Nacht die Nachbarn nerven.
Wie es bereits Dudes-Tradition ist, servieren wir auch dieses Mal ein Festessen mit dem Schwerpunkt MEAT: Spanferkel und BBQ vom Feinsten, dazu selbstgebrannte Schnäpse, edle Weine und Bier, die für Schlagseite sorgen!
