Three questions, three answers.

Part 1: JUST, CLEMENS BEHR, EMESS

ART VILLAGE x BERLIN FESTIVAL 2012: Just

1. Who are you, what are you doing and what does your artwork stand for?
I am JUST from Berlin and I am a painter, blogger and photographer. I have a place in the graffiti and urban art scene, which I accompany with my camera and my blogs for a couple of years now.
Martha Cooper from NYC once wrote about my rooftop-photo-series: “Just´s breathtaking photos are dramatic documents of daring graffiti artists in action. Through them you can vicariously experience the danger and thrills of rooftop writing.”

2. What are you going to do at the ART VILLAGE?
I am going to exhibit some photographs and document the ART VILLAGE. I hope to make a couple of nice pictures from the whole atmosphere and the acts with my backstage- and photopass. To be seen afterwards here: http://justtakingpictures.net

3. What is your next project after the ART VILLAGE?
There is an urban art tv show in the making at the moment, which shall lead through the scenes of L.A., NYC, Paris and Rio. You can meet me in the Berlin episode.

ART VILLAGE x BERLIN FESTIVAL 2012: Clemens Behr

1. Who are you, what are you doing and what does your artwork stand for?
I am Clemens and I mostly work on in- and outdoor installations. These are complex, cheap and improvised.

2. What are you going to do at the ART VILLAGE?
I am going to build a bigger wooden isntallation together with 44Flavours, which is probably going to be a huge mask and a little house.

3. What is your next project after the ART VILLAGE?
The participation at a group exhibition called „Futurism2.0“ in London end of September and a solo exhibition in Berlin’s Neonchocolate gallery in October.

ART VILLAGE x BERLIN FESTIVAL 2012: Emess

1. Who are you, what are you doing and what does your artwork stand for?
My name is Emess and I do stencil artwork, installations and interventions in public and non-public spaces. My works pick up changes, which I notice in my environment and which I think are worth discussing.

2. What are you going to do at the ART VILLAGE?
I am going to show a row of new artist portraits at ART VILLAGE, which are made up of a mixture of stencil and paint.

3. What is your next project after the ART VILLAGE?
My next project is Berlin’s Kunstherbst („Art Autumn“) and the presentation of new works at the Stroke.Artfair hier in Berlin.
