Marco and Alexander, please introduce yourself
Marco: I was born in Berlin, but then lived in various countries and cities and travelled the world since I was young. I work as a music producer in Berlin.
Alex: I was born in Austria but lived in France most of my life. I am about to finish my Audio Engineering B.A. at SAE Institute Berlin.
Why did you name yourself „I’m Fine“?
Because that’s the feeling we get when we produce and listen to our music. Plus, it’s an easy to recall name.
If you would describe your style of music in three words?
Melodic, catchy, different.

How did you two guys meet and decide to produce together?
We met at SAE Institute Berlin during our Audio Engineering studies. We sort of bumped into each other because we heard each other’s music and then decided to do something together.

Marco: Chris Liebing, Die Prinzen, Mika Nakashima, France Gall, Outkast
Alex: Laurent Garnier, Saint Germain, Ils, Hybrid, Steve Reich
You just released the first EP of Steyoyoke in collaboration with Antonio Olivieri, your label mate in February 2012 and seem to get lots of love for it already. Tell us a bit more about it.
The EP was produced in collaboration with several artists and bands we met during our audio engineering studies. We knew Antonio because he already did remixes for us and we worked together with him on the EP not knowing what the outcome would be like.
Your favorite pick of the EP, reason?
We like „Your Ghost“ the most. It has this certain atmosphere we really like.
You are working on your first album, too. What can we expect from it?
Basically you can expect tracks, that resemble our first EP “Back to my roots“. So there will be lots of natural instruments that come with strong and catchy leads and grooves that reach from Deep House to Techno.
When is it going to be released?
As soon as we are satisfied with it. At the moment we put the focus on our live performance which will include lots of elements from the album.
