EYEEM is the next big thing if it comes to “photo-apps”. I am a big fan ever since Lorenz Aschoff, one of the founders showed me how it works and I was one of the beta-testers for the Samsung Galaxy S3 last year (THX to EYEEM CTO Mr. Rizk!), when I was looking for an alternative, as instagrm was not appealing to me any more.
Ever since, EYEEM was used for visits to clubs, kept track of me meeting a (former) German national football team player for the first time Thomas Hitzlsperger, also one of the biggest contemporary artists of Spain: Antonio Santin, and besides people from fashion and film the numerous DJs & producers, musicians, singers I encountered during my life in Berlin, EYEEM documented lectures, festivals, and above all, private moments with friends! Throughout my journeys and events, it has always been there, improving day by day, offering geo-tagging and loads of nice filters, comments on the pictures and “<3” it.
Yesterday, I bumped into Severin Matusek, EYEEM’s Head of Content & Community, who reminded me of the upcoming Photo Hack Day at Platoon Kunsthalle, a platform we are both members of for a couple of years now.
Good that Dennis and I did resist the urge to join Gen and his lovely wife, Florian etc. from the EYEEM office whom we bumped into later that evening for gallery hopping, so now I have a moment to spare to announce this awesome event in time:
