Berlin’s biggest music festival BERLIN FESTIVAL 2012 is coming up during Berlin Music Week with the second year of ART VILLAGE being part of it and the CLUB X-BERG parties at Arena.

At numerous stages at the Flughafen Tempelhof location, you will see the greatest live acts and DJs without travelling far!

This year is special, as stylistberlin did the official Art Village Artist Interviews as media partner :)

Here are my personal recommendations for this year’s programme:

FRIDAY

Main Stage: Michael Kiwanuka, Little Dragon, Tocotronic, Sigur Ros, The Killers – a good opportunity to see many concerts! Don’t forget to peek by at the Silent Arena Aftershow Party, too!

Zippo Encore Stage: Remember the amazing musicvideo of the Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble? To refreshen your memories: we shot a whole of five days with about 50 extras and 20 staff members and many more days to prepare the shooting and edit the film material, Oliver Rath, lately on the cover of Proud magazine, was on set and produced a great photograph, too.

Well, they are opening he stage, where Kate Nash, Nicolas Jaar will be performing as well – don’t miss it! The Ensemble is not often to be seen in Berlin, so far they debuted at Berghain and had a concert at Volksbühne last year – so go and enjoy the show!

Hangar-5 Stage: We have Band and Major Lazer (who unfortunately have a shitty internet presence) are my recommendations!

Then, move to CLUB X-Berg

Arena: DJ Supermarkt, Metronomy

Glashaus: !K7 DJs, When Saints Go Machine, Brandt Brauer Frick – yes, the three guys will DJ that night, too!

Main Stage: Cro, the hiphop hit magician is performing in Berlin again – for those of you who were at Original at Flamingo a while ago, will have the opportunity to meet him again with Franz Ferdinand, Bonaparte, Paul Kalkbrenner

Zippo Encore Stage: Kimbra, The Soundtrack of Our Lives

Hangar-5 Stage: Freedom or Death, one of my favourite acts from Melt! Festival 2012 and I Heart Sharks, WhoMadeWho, SBTRKT Live – WOW!!!

Berlin Musik Week Stage: Muso, the latest talent of hip hop; you might have met him at the Noisey Launch Party at .HBC!

At CLUB X-BERG, the party will proceed with …

Arena: Modeselektor, TEED, Simian Mobile Disco – no need to comment. Especially looking forward to Orlando’s set!

Glashaus: Junior Boys – just met one half of them and following the other half on twitter, looking forward to see them both on stage!

Badeschiff: Marius Funk – my homeboy and BLN.FM family, Full Nelson – one of the greatest <3

Arena Club: Schwarz Don’t Crack, Dillon, Mathias Maier & Patlac, Fritz Zander, Ryan Nyquist and from 0-1am last minute: Yunique ;) Ryan will play after Fritz Zander at 7am till the end!
