Pedro Saraiva is an artist /producer/ musician based in Porto, Portugal. Considered a visionary in several former projects.

SirAiva is the natural process of a evolution of the line of work, remixing his favourite classic hits, an releasing his funk pop original songs with upbeat disco house versions.

SirAiva has been announced as his next big and mainstream project, with originals and the remixes of great classics reuniting all his know how to bring the in order to bring disco into the new era.

His interest in music started at a very early age. He started his first band as the lead singer and guitar player, X-Position in 1986, a project that gave him the chance of recording abroad for the first time, namely in London, in F2 Studios. Also allowing them to perform at the opening of Loyd Cole & Commotions at their concerts in Portugal.

With his following project D.R.SAX, Saraiva was seen as a white man “trapped in a black man’s stance”, a metaphor for the disco, funk, soul mix conveyed by the band whose first album “0670”, was once again produced and recorded in London, at Parkgate Studio in 1994.

Featuring one of the hit singles chosen “Eu não me esqueci”, a smash hit, creating a massive buzz reflected in radio playing, tv exposure and a wide tour of the country. At this time Saraiva’s angel like image with golden long hair follow the sound design of the album: avant garde, glamorous, provocative, androgynous and teasing, a cutting edge stance for the usually reserved and withdrawn portuguese scene.

During 1997, Saraiva are back with his second D.R.Sax album – “Homem Objecto”. Featuring another big hit “Voulez Vous (Coucher Avec Moi)”. The album was the first to include remixes and versions of the original material created by Saraiva to be part of the overall concept of the second album of the band.

In 2006, Saraiva closes the D.R. Sax era with the compilation “10 Anos Depois”, turning himself to productions and composition, becoming one of the most sough after Producers of the Portuguese dance scene.
