Friday, 10.12.2010 S Magazine launching event at Voo Store, afterparty at Bar Tausend
It all started with Uslu Airlines. They launched a nail enamel called Capablanca. And since I was reading the name everywhere and also was linked to him on fb, I wanted to see him in persona.
I got the invitation for some event on fb.
As a “retired” fashion editor, the release of S Magazine, Hugo DJing at a store I hadn´t been to yet (yes, I am a Mitte-Nazi) and seeing that the afterparty was at Bar Tausend (personal greetz to the bosses, especially M.), I took my chance.
Guestlist cleared (the nightmare-experience to stand in line like everyone else last week at Ritter Butzke has really branded me), location contacted, I arrived at Xberg.
1. Voo:
Nicely made shop in welcoming me in an alley at a backyard. (Since I have not been there before, just can tell you about the interior on the 10th.)
Had a look at Wood Wood stuff etc.:
2. Hugo Capablanca:
Just as he depicted himself, just as he was photographed in several media, Hugo was easily to recognize with his curly head and style of dressing. The music was inviting to dance, as some did, despite the fact that it was a clothing store and not really a club.
3. S Magazine #11:
Almost a book, dozens of pages, 15EUR an issue. If I had had a bag with me, I would have purchased it, but I just carried a pouch which was pretty small. The mag didn’t have a chance.
4. Bar Tausend:
Nice interior, the guys of 103 really have an etablissement that is worth the fame. Very lovely staff – felt welcomed.
5. Mein Haus am See:
To round up the evening with friends, we went to Mein Haus am See where the manager himself was partying with us. I was allowed to play some tracks, so I chose Brainstorm (Renaissance Man) and Calypso (Round Table Knights) ;)
Happy birthday, LOUW! You are the best! And heaps of LOVE to MHaS´s first birthday!!!!
