Chris James, label boss of Dub Noir Music, who just released his “Puttin in work EP” in July is not done at all yet. This time, he worked with Nhan Solo (Semester Musik label owner) and released the “Made just for you” EP (release date vinyl and digital: 26.08.2011 on Decks and Intergroove) as SM003.
Tracks:
A1 Just for you (Original Mix)
A2 Lets get intimate (Original Mix)
B1 Just for you (Marcin Czubala Remix)
B2 Lets get intimate (Nhan Solo´s Slow Mooow Mix)
So this is the third baby of Semester Musik, SM003. The Egyptian Lover, who once upon a time brought vinyl from Detroit to Los Angeles, worked the decks together with the up-and-coming-talent Chris James from Birmingham. “Easinesss from 1984 meets British coolness from 2011 and makes „Just For You“ a stylish avantgarde house track.” – Semester Musik about SM003
A1 Just for you (Original Mix): I love how Chris „Jamie“ James and Greg „The Egyptian Lover“ Broussard work together as a team. This is really old school Detroit style! The track pulls you immediately into its bold bassline, you can hear the Rhodes piano chords and the cheering party crowd in the back. „Just for You“ reminds you of summer, beach and loads of fun.
A2 Let´s get intimate (Original Mix): A ladies` track, it is said about this one. A mixture of hip hop and slow house, with a touch of soul. „Lets get intimate“ is perfect for never-ending evenings…!
B1 Just for you (Marcin Czubala Remix): Mobilee has one of Poland`s hottest house music exports, and that is Marcin Czubala. He gave „Just For You“ his “signature with a deep technoid bass, crisp claps, earthy drums, and a snappy snare.” Semester Musik says: “Don’t play the record, mix the record! Don´t be a bedroom DJ, be a five star DJ, be all you can be!” Looking forward to what DJs will make out of it.
B2 Let`s get intimate (Nhan Solo`s Slow Mooow Mix): Semester Musik label boss Nhan Solo isn`t lazy on this one at all: The remix by him is scaled down to 100bpm and makes you move your body gently to the beat. Everything is used: rattle snakes, chimes, and muffeld saxophones!
