Stil vor Talent is one of the labels that I had an eye on ever since I saw Chroma play at the Backyard of tacheles and also when I saw Christopher Lawrenz and heard of Jan Blomqvists music through friends.

Recently, my friend Aude told me she had recorded a track with a friend of hers – Louis McGuire, a young gentleman from England, speaking perfectly German, having resided in Germany since 2004.

“Isolee” is one of the tracks on SVT’s 17th digital release by Louis McGuire’s “Essence & Detail” EP and I love it because finally it was another track where the vocals were actually sung in, not sampled.

Aude is part of ORNIS, a band project based in Berlin. Her voice perfectly matches the track Isolee, and she will be very sure heard of more often!

I received the album way ahead but had problems unpacking – so yesterday Aude and Louis dropped by and brought me the hand written CD with cover artwork. Lovely.

Listening to the album, it really doesn’t sound bad, either this guy is a very experienced producer or he has talent like hell.

Any way, keep an eye on him, this debut work is very promising!
