Winter 2011 in Switzerland – where else could you meet Switzerland’s uprising stars than at Bonsoir, the club Biru of the Round Table Knights does the bookings for, the club that boasts the best line-up in Switzerland along HIVE Club in Zurich and that had Nomi Ruiz from Jessica6/Hercules & LoveAffair playing Re.You’s “Ghost” that very night?
TRINIDAD, a collective of Noiseberg, Marc Feldmann and DVW, who had solo careers ongoing in Switzerland, told me about their upcoming release on my buddy Chris James’ label DubNoir. * stylistberlin Interview with Chris James: http://stylistberlin.blogspot.de/2011/05/interview-who-is-chris-james.html

01. La Fuente (6:36)
Starting with strong drums, this track is just really really fun – the various drums remind a bit of a stereotyped jungle beat and the melody growing stronger towards the end round the track up to an explosion of summer, sun and fun. Very sexy.
02. Indian Summer (5:22)
The melody is catchy from the beginning on, and the piano/keyboard chords are warm, mixing with the beats they make you dance instantly. The interlude is witty and beautifully made. Only critical point: the claps are overdone, could have been omitted easily.
03. Full Sail (6:32)
This track combines the organ sound with the album-typical beats and blends in perfectly with the other songs on the EP.
Opinion: Five out of five stars, as the “Indian Summer EP” suggests summerly sounds, and for that, all three tracks serve their duties, delivering a warm EP that can be played up and down and everywhere. Looking forward to Trinidad playing live in Berlin, hopefully soon!
These guys from Switzerland have more up their sleeves, as you might guess: check them out playing their “Indian Summer EP” Minimix!
