One year ago, a new label was born in Berlin, called STEYOYOKE (click here for label intro and here for the launch party) and we introduced members I’m Fine (click here for stylistberlin interview) to you. The crew was founded by another artists we had an eye on, Antonio Olivieri (click here for the interview) and we loved the first release by him and I’m Fine: “If I were music” (click here for the EP review). Soon afterwards, STEYOYOKE released the “Deep in the woods” EP by Dahu (click here for EP review) and a whole row of fantastic tracks, also remixed by our darlings Mat.Joe (click here for their hit-EP review).
Time flies, and now they are already celebrating their first anniversary!

It’s hard to imagine that a year has already passed since the founding of Steyoyoke. A string of successful releases has been accompanied by some of Berlin’s steamiest nights and Steyoyoke doesn’t plan on stopping there. As a means of marking its first birthday the label will be playing host to one of Berlins most notorious night clubs, Ritter Butzke, on what promises to be an evening to get the heart racing. Two floors of only the deepest and most provocative house music will serve right for such an occasion and with such a strong lineup to boast it won’t be hard to find.
The full Steyoyoke uniform will be on display with Soul Button, Antonio Olivieri, Sasch, I’m Fine, and Dahu leading from the front with that Steyoyoke passion that burns so bright. The lineup is completed by some very special guests: Oxia [InFiné / 8bit], Aki Bergen [Neurotraxx Recordings], Marc Poppcke [Crossfrontier Audio], Nick Devon [3am Recordings], Mat.Joe [OFF Recordings] and Fumée Grise [OFF Recordings], all of which have enjoyed much success within the industry and have brought the heat to many a dancefloor across the world. Each guest will also be releasing a remix for Steyoyoke and will be available on vinyl release especially for the night.
The night also sees the work of Azuldecobalt being displayed in a pre-party exhibition. This talented artists work has become synonymous with the labels image and from 10pm to midnight guests will have the chance to get up close and personal to some of the Steyoyoke characters. The exhibition will not only include the illustrations of Azuldecobalt, but will also feature specially made life size wooden cutouts of the ‘monsters’, guaranteed to add to the atmosphere of the night. Guests to the exhibition will be able to get into the party afterwards for half price as a way of showing that Steyoyoke is not just about the music.
The evening is set to be a tale of Steyoyoke’s love for Deep House music in collaboration with its innovative and mystifying art. It also gives Steyoyoke a chance to show its appreciation to its loyal fans by throwing one hell of a party for them. All guests will also be receiving a surprise gift on the night just incase everything else wasn’t enough. The one year anniversary of Steyoyoke is perhaps most of all a sign of intent for where things are going for the label. See you there!
