Sometimes, I am really sad that I don’t have the time to translate all the good articles from German into English, so a broader audience gets to read this. Frasch talked with Raddatz about STYLE, and this interview is hilarious!

“Style needs effortlessness” is the title and it gives so much insight on Raddatz’ views on life related to it.

(Taste and style means literacy and education, and education always is related to enforcement)

When he was told Sloterdijk wrote in the conext of Raddatz was writing a “literature of self-degradation” in his diaries:

“Ich kenne das Buch von Sloterdijk nicht, ich wünschte mir aber vor allem, er würde mehr auf seine Haare achten.”

(I don’t know Sloterdijk’s book, but I would wish above all, he would take more care about his hair.)

About generosity:

“Stil ist auch, einen Menschen zu umarmen, aber man umarmt einen Menschen nicht mit einem Champignon in der Hand oder mit einem Stück Seife”

(Style is to hug a person, but you dont hug a person with a Champignon in one hand or a piece of soap)
